During the wedding planning
process to my wonderful
husband, Oscar, I had some
difficulties with my search
for minority vendors. I’m an
avid supporter of economic
empowerment and know the
purchasing power of the
“black dollar”. I thought to
myself, “It can’t possibly
be this hard to locate
minority vendors offering
the services I need!” The
wedding industry is a
multi-million dollar
business and it would be a
shame to not spend some of
those dollars on products
and services developed and
owned by us!
The
goal of this website is to
provide a resource for
African-American engaged
couples who not only want to
plan and create the event of
a life time, but enrich
their community by
supporting minority vendors
in their area.
My
hope is that this site not
only serves this purpose,
but uplifts the overall
economic community as well.
