• Start your dress search.

6–8 months

• Order your dress now.  This will allow you to have plenty of time to attend fittings.
• Remember to get a swatch of fabric from your dress.  This will make things easier when you're trying to match shoes and other accessories.
• If you want to make shopping for accessories and choosing a hairstyle easy, take front and back photos of yourself in your dress.

3–6 months

• Shop for your accessories. You'll need the following:
  Bra/panties
  Hosiery
  Headpiece
  Veil
  Petticoat/slip
  Gloves
  Jewelry
  Wrap or shawl
  Handbag
  Garter

2–3 months

• Attend your first fitting; remember to bring your shoes, lingerie and accessories with you for the best fit.
• Attend your final wedding-dress fitting.

1-2 weeks

• Pick up your wedding dress. Try it on one last time before you leave the salon to make certain that it fits just right.
